Profile!

Name: George Weasley
Former House: Gryffindor, 1989-1996 (Left without finishing)
Age: 22
Birthday: April 1, 1978
PB: Cyrille Thouvenin

Wand: Willow, 13 inches, unicorn hair
Bloodline: Pure
Family Members: Parents: Molly and Arthur (deceased) Weasley. Siblings: Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred (deceased), Ron, Ginny
Owl/Pets/Familiars: None
Place of Birth/Current Residence: Born and raised at the Burrow, currently residing mostly in the flat above the shop in Diagon Alley, rarely at Number 12 Grimmauld Place

Patronus: Before Fred’s death, it was an ocelot. He hasn’t been able to conjure one since.
Boggart: Ever since Remus was teaching Defense, George's Boggart has been Fred, turning his back on George and walking away.
Mirror of Erised: His family, all of them, all together again.

Political View: More anti-Death Eater than ever since Fred was killed
Allegiance: OoTP
Sexuality: Straight

Personality: George’s personality has changed a lot since he lost his twin. Fred was George’s other half, and his death left a hole in his life that he doesn’t think can ever be filled. As carefree and cheerful as he was before, he’s now withdrawn and subdued, doing all of his work at the shop without the gusto that he used to have. He's taken to colouring his hair in an attempt to stop seeing Fred staring back at him from the mirror. He’s sullen and moody and even a simple mention of his twin (or his father, for that matter) by someone other than his mum can bring about a panic attack, something that manifested not long after the battle at the Ministry. The attacks are unpredictable, so George has taken to carrying a special, self-brewed calming draught with him at all times. Unfortunately, there’s no real middle ground between his calming draught and the traditional recipe, so if his attack is on the stronger end, a dose of the traditional draught will usually put him out of commission for at least a couple of hours.

The only thing George really takes any joy in doing anymore is the secret line of products he’s been creating for the Order. Everything in his shop is, of course, regulated through the Ministry, but he has a secret lab in the cellar of the shop where he creates weapons and defenses both. Currently, he’s working on a few different things, but mostly the invisibility cloak he had been working on with Fred, with some additional defenses built in, and a version of the Marauder’s map that could possibly be used to locate anyone in England with a simple spell.

Since reopening the shop, George has taken to talking to Fred as if he is right there beside him, but only when nobody else is around.

History: George knew from the time he was old enough to talk that he would never have to worry about not having somebody to talk to. How could he not have someone to talk to, with a family of their size? Even so, Fred was the one person George could count on without question, and he never expected that there would come a day where his twin wasn’t beside him.

When George left school before the end of his seventh year, he and Fred immediately went about setting up shop in Diagon Alley, with the money Harry had given to them going toward the initial build-up costs. It wasn’t long before they had the business they’d always dreamed of. It wasn’t all fun and games for them, though. The war was coming and they both knew it. Whenever they weren't working on things for the shop, they were locked up together in the cellar they magically added beneath the building, planning and developing products that could be used to help their side of the war.

It was during research for one of these products that everything went wrong. He and Fred had obtained an invisibility cloak through various means and they were working to improve it, piling on protection and wards and countless other additions. They took it out to test once a week, and it was George's day to test that his life fell apart. Even though they had decided on a set schedule, to keep everything fair, Fred practically locked George in the cellar to keep from testing. After an argument that lasted all of three minutes and consisted of Fred giving George horribly puppy eyes and begging, George let Fred have his testing day.

George called Fred a wanker as he disappeared under the cloak and slipped out the door of the shop. That was the last thing George ever said to his twin.

Thirty minutes later, Fred was gone, and the only thing George knew was that the cloak was hidden in a dumpster in London. George couldn't believe it at first, and he refused to. He wouldn't believe that his brother, his twin, had been abducted by the RF, but the truth was forced down his throat when Fred's body was retrieved two days later. George was reduced to a shell of his former self, withdrawing from his friends and family and closing the shop. The battle at the Ministry happened not three weeks later, and George rushed off without a thought. He didn't have anything to lose, so he threw himself into battle, fighting without thinking until a curse to the side of his head took him out. He woke up a week later, deaf in his left ear and without another family member. As soon as he was able to leave Number 12, he locked himself in his bedroom at the apartment above the shop for three days straight. Once the three days were up, he emerged and reopened the shop, still a shadow of his former self, but more determined than ever that the people who did this to his family would pay.
